Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform line inspections, servitude maintenance hardware defect repairs and operating
- Perform line fault investigations
- Assist in restoration operations during power line emergencies
- Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies
- Operate, inspect and maintain tools and equipment
- Enhance customer and stakeholder relations

- Basic line component identification
- Vegetation management
- Principles of electrical theory
- Level 3 line construction competency authorisation
- Basic line construction
- Eskom business, procedures, directives, Conditions of Service and financial procedures

- Basic rigging
- Operating of lines tools and equipment

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
- Trade Certificate Electrical (Light Current/Heavy Current) at NQF4 with 120 credits
Experience:
- 2 years NTCSA network and discipline related equipment (Lines and Servitudes)
