· Power plant specific transformers auxiliary, switchgear, theoretical knowledge at the required level.
· Quality management international organization for standardization (ISO)9001 and 14001
· Basic health, safety, environment
· Tools and specialized equipment
· Low and high voltage systems up to 132Kv
· High voltage (HV), medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) line construction
· Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS) outcome 6 authorization
· Meter worker certification
· Single phase tester
· Crane operating
· Mobile elevating platform operating
· Auger drill operating
· Rock drill operating
Skill
· ORHVS outcome 5
· Public driver’s permit (PDP)
· Valid driver’s license (EC)
· Safety management
· Basic workshop
· Communication
· Sound interpersonal relations
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine maintenance.
· Perform breakdown maintenance.
· Perform minor construction activities.
· Ensure health and safety.
· Provide customer services
Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
Grade 12 with Maths and Science/NCV4/NSC3/N3 Engineering at NQF4
with 120 credits
Related Minimum Experience
2 years Distribution network operating and maintenance
