Key Responsibilities
· Facilitate multi-functional disciplinary work groups to compile risk specific occupational hygiene and safety assessments
· Implement, enhance and maintain occupational hygiene safety and health programs within the parameters of legal requirements, international organisation for standardisation (ISO) 45001 standards and best practices
· Provide professional advice and guidance with respect to occupational hygiene and safety to employees, contractors / suppliers, customers and members of the public
· Analyse and assess business unit needs regarding occupational hygiene and safety risks, implement and monitor control measures
· Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene safety audits and reviews
· Ensure legislation and business risks created by incidents are manged
· Develop and advise on implementation and evaluation of occupational hygiene and safety management processes for contractors, suppliers or projects
· Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene and safety standards, procedures, systems and processes
Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
· Grade 12 PLUS
· National Diploma in Safety Management / Environmental Health / Sciences / Management at NQF Level 6 with 240 Credits
Experience:
· 3 years related minimum experience in fire and emergency management, occupational hygiene and safety
