To apply effective, control and project management principles during planning, shutdowns, and re-commissioning of generating and associated plant. To manage the outage life cycle by integrating outage activities and resource co-ordination within plant system areas before and during outages. Position: Snr Advisor Outage Co-ordination G15. Department: Outage Execution. Business Unit: Peaking Operating Unit. Location: Drakensberg Pumped Storage – Jagersrust, Bergville, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Job description
• Co-ordinate and control outage execution
• Influence outage planning and reviews
• Manage national contracts on behalf of the employer
• Manage outage execution costs
• Manage the quality control and assurance during outage execution
• Manage plant commissioning activities and relevant seconded staff
• Influence the commercial process
• Provide advisory, mentorship, coaching and support role to outage progress monitors
• Facilitate continuous improvement
• Influence outage planning and reviews
• Manage national contracts on behalf of the employer

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
• BTech (Technical), or
• National Higher Diploma (Technical)
Experience:
• 5 years related experience in Outage and Contract Management
