Introduction
Area of specialization: To define and develop a positive sustainability profile for the organisation, including social, environmental and economic aspects, through the ongoing conceptualisation, communication and development of relevant sustainable development policies, strategies and indicators, influence and advise amongst others, organizational strategies, decision making processes and research priorities, influence the strategic direction and minimize internal and external organisation risks through liaison and collaboration with relevant internal and external structures and government departments.

Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conceptualise, develop and communicate relevant sustainable development policies, strategies and indicators.
2. Lead integrated reporting for organisation sustainability performance.
3. Liaise and collaborate with internal and external organisation stakeholders.
4. Identify opportunities to improve the organisation’s sustainability performance.
5. Ensure management of human and knowledge resources.

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
BSc/BEng Degree in Engineering/BSc Honours Degree in Natural Sciences/Environmental Science at NQF8 with 480 credits
Professional Registration Body:
South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) as a professional natural scientist/Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a professional engineer
Experience:
7 Years’ Experience in sustainable development, sustainability monitoring and reporting, and development of sustainability projects.
