Technician position in the DC, Position/Task Grade: T11, Area of specialization: To operate, maintain, commission, diagnose faults and repair control plant equipment in a safe and effective manner to sustain or enhance quality of supply and meet organisational objectives according to Eskom standards, procedures, directives, work practices, guidelines, policies and service agreements, Department: Maintenance & Operations Cluster: CentralEast Contract Duration: 36 Months

· Understanding control plant technologies, standards, procedure, and philosophies

· Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS)

· Fault finding, investigation

· Accredited to level 2 or intermediate for control plant specific maintenance discipline

· Control plant specific work execution

· Low Voltage Operating Regulations (LVOR) and Outcome 3 authorisation

 Skills:

· Computer Literate

· Administration

·  Valid code 8 driver’s license

  Key Responsibilities

· Maintain control plant equipment.

· Diagnose faults and repair control plant equipment.

· Install and commission control plant equipment.

· Adhere to safety, health, environment, quality, and security (SHEQS) requirements.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s): 

National N Diploma / National Diploma in Electrical Engineering at NQF6 with 240 credits

Related Experience:

3 years Related/ P1 P2 Practical experience in a technical environment
