Position: Senior Manager Engineering Position/Task Grade: EEE-BAND Department: Business Development Business Unit: Strategy Delivery Unit Reporting to the General Manager Business Development, the Senior Manager Engineering will be responsible for providing. strategic direction and assurance for appropriate technology selection, design, implementation, operation, maintenance, production risk management of the plant and optimise short- and long-term plant health and availability of Eskom’s existing generating fleet.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):

·       B Degree in Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits or

·       B Tech in Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits or

·       Advanced Diploma in Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits 

Experience: 

·  10 years extensive experience in plant design, maintenance and operating practices, engineering management in power generation technologies, technical and technology leadership experience.

·       Experience in gas to power plants will be an advantage. 

Professional Registration Body:

·       Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
