Key Responsibilities
· Provides input into discipline- specific technology vision, strategy and direction setting.
· Develop discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications for approval.
· Produces and integrates engineering solutions/designs for asset creation on behalf of customers at various stages of the project cycle.
· Conducts discipline- specific research into new technologies.
· Participate in Eskom technical forums.
· Manages and conducts products, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
· Provides technical consulting and investigation service for customers (OU support).
· Provide professional technical leadership over Engineers within Process Engineering
· Enhance and maintain optimal power plant performance by diagnosis of process inefficiencies and optimization / enhancement thereof.
· Liaise with all role-players / stakeholders (i.e. Operations, Engineering, Maintenance & Management) on key performance areas.
Minimum requirements
· Qualification(s): BSc Eng / B Eng Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
· Professional Registration: ECSA Registered Pr. Eng
· Related Minimum Experience: 4 Years Experience in Engineering design, design integration and Engineering Management in Power Generation technologies for materials handling plant, low pressure services plant, chemical plant, Boiler emission control, milling, draft group, burners, power plant processes, turbine centre line, pumps, gas turbines, high pressure equipment, feed heating and cooling, solar plants, wind energy plant and related chemistry systems, C&I
