Introduction
Job description
· Provide technical consulting and investigating services.
· Provide and integrate engineering solutions or designs for asset creation.
· Develop and approve discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications.
· Manage and conduct product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
· Provide input into discipline specific technology vision strategy and direction setting.
· Conduct discipline specific technology research.
· Participate in national and international technical forums.
· Provide professional technical leadership.

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
- B Tech/National Higher Diploma/ Advanced Diploma in Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits
· Related Minimum Experience:
· 4 years’ experience in engineering planning and design, design
integration and engineering management in relevant
technologies for power stations/substations, electrical
network.Engineering planning and design, overhead line
engineering design, substation design, distributed
generation integration, secondary plant engineering
design, protection, telecommunication, measurement metering, civil design and control.
· Professional Registration Body: Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as professional technologist
