Key Responsibilities
· Supervising Substation construction activities.
· Plan and schedule activities in line with the contract objectives in co-ordination with the project planner.
· Supervision of team members.
· Accepts responsibility for safety, health, environment and quality compliance.
· Communication.
· Oversee plant, equipment and material requirements.
Skills:
· Basic Computer Literacy.
· MS Office Suite.
· Strong leadership skills.
· Good Communication Skills.
· In depth knowledge and experience on substations.
· ORHVS as an added advantage.
Knowledge:
· Eskom Standards and Specifications relating to Substations.
· OHS Act and Construction Regulations.
· SHEQ Systems.
· Experienced in Substations related activities, example Civils/Building, steel assemble & erection, electrical works, Cabling & Stringing.
Attributes:
· Good Interpersonal Relationships.
· High attention to detail, accuracy, and detail.
· Self- Motivated and must be able to motivate.
· Deadline driven.
· Be able to work under pressure successfully.
· Good organisation skills.

Minimum requirements
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
Preferably:
• HV Regulations (Modules 1-10)
• Relevant H&S Courses for Supervisors
• 6 Years Related Experience in supervising the overall construction activities of Substations
• Construction and Authorised (HV Regulations) Supervisory working experience
