Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop discipline-specific technology vision, strategy and direction setting.
- Develop and approve discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications.
- Oversee, produce and integrate complex engineering solutions, design for asset creation.
- Plan and control discipline-specific research regarding new technologies.
- Represent Eskom at national and international technical forums.
- Manage and conduct complex product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
- Provide complex technical consulting and investigation service for customers.
- Provide professional technical leadership for senior technologists, senior engineers, technologists and engineers in different disciplines.

Civil/Chemical/Metallurgical/Industrial Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits
• Professional Registration Body: Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as professional technologist
• B Tech Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer/

Related Minimum Experience:
• 7 years technical experience engineering related technologies
• Maintenance, operations and/or technical support to the technical operations of power generation or power delivery (Transmission and Distribution) infrastructure.
