Key Responsibilities
- Manage operational outputs in the operating unit health centres (clinics).
- Provide leadership for occupational health service delivery.
- Ensure the development and implementation of the occupational health medical surveillance programme.
- Monitor, oversee and coordinate preparation for medical boarding, incapacity, disability assessment cases.
- Provide advisory, consultative and specialist services to stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity regarding health centre activities.

Knowledge:
- Advance knowledge of relevant labour and health legislation e.g., Occupational Health and Safety Act. No 85 of 1993)
- Health care system and operating unit environment (province) where service is provided e.g., health care delivery models in the province.
- Clients, customers within the operating unit (province).
- Advance practical primary health care knowledge.
- Eskom policies, procedures, stated benefits, Eskom Pension and Provident Fund, employment equity classification (people with disabilities) and social security claims Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA)
- Good understanding of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
- Advance knowledge of systems, applications and products (SAP) environment, health and safety (EHS)
- Lifestyle management including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) and tuberculosis (TB) in the workplace
- Manage sickness, absenteeism and medically incapacitated employees
- Manage wellness service provider contracts including eligibility requirements, performance, standards, budget, limitations, service scope, service provider strength and weakness
- Medical aid schemes chronic disease management programmes

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
- B Degree Nursing in Administration / Management plus Postgraduate qualification inOccupational Health at NQF8 with 480 credits plus Dispensing Licensing Certificate
Professional Registration Body:
- South African Nursing Council (SANC)
Experience:
- 5 Years Related Experience in Occupational health and management
