· Key Responsibilities
o Provides professional technical leadership over senior engineers and engineers within the electrical discipline on the Peaking plant
o Manages and conducts product, equipment, material, service, and change impact evaluations
o Provides input into technology vision, strategy and direction setting
o Provides technical input into the establishment and management of contracts
o Develops and approves maintenance philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practices and specifications for approval
o Provides complex technical consulting and investigation services
o Produces and integrates engineering solutions/designs for asset creation on behalf of customers at various stages of the project lifecycle
o Plans and controls discipline-specific research into new technologies
o Represents Eskom in national and international technical forums

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
· BTech Electrical Engineering at NQF7 with 360 credits
Experience:
· 7 years of extensive experience in engineering design, design integration, and engineering management in power generation technologies for power plant processes and related electrical systems
Professional Registration:
· ECSA Professional Technologist
