Position/Task Grade: G15 Area of specialization: To conduct forensic investigations involving commercial crime, financial misconduct and incidents of high risk/impact/loss to the organisation e.g. fraud, corruption, irregularities, sabotage, reputational damage, gross negligence etc. within the Eskom Holdings environment and report on the outcome of such investigations. Job description

·       In depth knowledge of forensic investigation principles, law, rules, legal prescripts regarding evidence, knowledge of criminal justice system, procurement fraud etc

·       Assess the nature of alleged contraventions in relation to the applicable legislation/regulations/statuses

·       Gather information, evidence from various sources i.e. police departments, informants and

associates sufficient to warrant legal action using a range of methods, techniques

·       Determine whether a crime or irregularity has occurred

·       Evidence collection and preservation

·       Provide evidence and/or recommendations for further action

·       Develop, adapt, modify investigation strategies to allow for complications resulting from extensive and intricate efforts to hide violation

   Key Responsibilities

·       Conduct forensic investigations.

·       Prepare investigative reports.

·       Provide post-investigative support.

·       Conduct investigations within the framework of law, compliance with relevant legislation and Eskom policies, procedures.

·       Communicate with all management levels.

Minimum requirements

       Qualification(s): 

·       B Degree/BTech/Advanced Diploma in Law/Auditing/Accounting/Forensic Investigation/Criminology/Police Science at NQF7 with 360 credits

    Related Minimum Experience:

·  Minimum of 5 years of forensic investigation experience at a supervisory/junior management level in commercial, financial forensic and knowledge of criminal justice system
