Introduction
Position: Senior Manager Technical Plant Koeberg Position/Task Grade: EEE-BAND Department: Nuclear Plant Business Unit: Koeberg Power Station Reporting to the General Manager Koeberg Nuclear Power Station; the Senior Manager Technical Plant is responsible for managing the technical operations function at Koeberg Power Station. This role ensures that the production plan is achieved in a sustainable manner, while maintaining full compliance with plant legislation, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

o   Knowledge of the design and operations of Nuclear Power Plant

o   Cost analysis/economic evaluation skills

Key Responsibilities

·       Perform operations management.

·       Direct plant and conventional safety programme.

·       Direct plant operations in the design base.

·       Direct Plant life cycle management in plant engineering, operating and maintaining the plant.

·       Manage plant contracts in line with Power Station policies and commercial procedures.

·       Human resource management and training.

·       Direct plant finances.

·       Leadership development of key station managers.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):

·  B Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Control & Instrumentation, Industrial or Systems Engineering at NQF 7 with 360 credits or 

·       B. Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Control & Instrumentation, Industrial or Systems Engineering at NQF 7 with 360 credits or 

·       National Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Control & Instrumentation, Industrial or Systems Engineering at NQF 7 with 360 credits.

Experience:

·       10 years Power Station experience in a management capacity, plant operations and engineering.
