Job description

  • Provide technical consulting and investigating services.
  • Provide and integrate engineering solutions or designs for asset creation.
  • Develop and approve discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practises and specifications.
  • Manage and conduct product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
  • Provide input into discipline specific technology vision strategy and direction setting.
  • Conduct discipline specific technology research.
  • Participate in national and international technical forums.
  • Provide professional technical leadership.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):

·        Grade 12

·        BTech / National Higher Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering NQF 7 with 360 credits 

       Experience

Experience in engineering planning and design, design intergation and engineerin management in relevant technologies for power stations.substations, electrical network.
 
Engineering planning and design, overhead line engineering design, substation design, distributed generation intergration, secondary plant enineering design, protection, telecommunication, measurement metering, civil design and control

·       Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Technologist
