Job description
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical consulting and investigating services.
• Provide and integrate engineering solutions or designs for asset creation.
• Develop and approve discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures, work practises
and specifications.
• Manage and conduct product, equipment, material, service and change impact evaluations.
• Provide input into discipline specific technology vision strategy and direction setting.
• Conduct discipline specific technology research.
• Participate in national and international technical forums.
• Provide professional technical leadership.

Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
• B Tech/National Higher Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Engineering at
NQF7 with 360 credits
NQF7 with 360 credits
Related Minimum Experience:
• 4 years’ related experience planning and design, design integration and engineering management in relevant technologies for power stations/substations, electrical network.
• Engineering planning and design, overhead line engineering design, substation design, distributed generation integration, secondary plant engineering design, protection, telecommunication, measurement metering, civil design and control

Professional Registration
• Professional registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as professional technologist
