Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical consulting, investigation and support services to support product development activities.
- Produce and integrate asset creation engineering solutions, designs for new or enhanced products and services.
- Develop discipline specific philosophies, technical standards, procedures and work practices that guide product development activities.
- Provide input into discipline specific roadmaps to support product development.
- Conduct discipline specific research on new and emerging technologies to inform and enhance product development.
- Manage and conduct product, equipment, material, service development and technical change management across the product lifecycle.
- Participate in national and international technical forums to inform and advance product development and innovation.
- Contribute to development of engineers in specified disciplines to strengthen product development capabilities.
Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
· BSc/B Eng in Engineering at NQF8 with 480 credits
· 4 Years’ related experience in technical engineering and related technologies.
· Professional Registration Body: Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as professional engineer.
