  Key Responsibilities

o  Optimise allocated plant performance and reliability.

o  Identify, investigate and resolve problematic plant issues.

o  Perform root cause analyses and implement sustainable engineering solutions.

o  Manage plant modifications and engineering improvements.

o  Execute and coordinate engineering projects.

o  Provide technical advice and support to operations and maintenance teams.

o  Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and governance processes.

o  Conduct engineering assessments and performance evaluations of hydro turbines and associated plant systems.

o  Provide engineering support across the Peaking Operating Unit's generation portfolio, including operating plant, new build assets and associated technologies, as required to achieve business objectives.

Minimum requirements

o   Qualification(s)

     BSc Eng/BEng Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (NQF Level 8, 480 credits)

 o   Related Minimum Experience

     Completed engineering graduate training programme or two years’ related engineering experience

 o   Professional Registration

      Registered as an ECSA Candidate Engineer
