designated area of the business (e. g. atmospheric emission licenses, NAEIS and
climate change submissions)
Environmental auditing
Environmental incident investigations
Environmental statutory/legislative requirements, national, provincial/local by-laws
Ability to link technical and legal aspects related to environmental compliance issues
to Generation plant issues
Gathering and analysing information and attention to detail (critical)
High degree of computer literacy, especially Excel
Conflict resolution and negotiation
Presentation
Ability to write effective and professional reports
Strong communication
actions.
Support the process for obtaining environmental approvals for atmospheric
emission licenses, and emission and climate change regulatory submissions.
Ensure compliance with legislative and governance requirements in the designated
areas of the business through the implementation of compliance measures.
Perform environmental investigations (air quality-related).
Provide support by implementing and executing the implementation of an
international organisation of standardisation (ISO) 14001 environmental
management system and related procedures in respect of air quality management
and climate change
Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
Diploma/National Diploma in Natural Science/Environmental Management at NQF 6 with
240 credits
Related Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of related experience in the area of environmental management
