Area of specialization: To manage and control all nuclear fuel and radiation protection related activities at the Koeberg Nuclear power station. Department: Radiation Protection & Chemistry Management. Business Unit: Koeberg Power Station. Location: Western Cape.
Job description

Key Responsibilities
1. Establish and implement fuel management strategy and provide nuclear assurance.
2. Provide high level technical advice.
3. Provide technical leadership on major analysis initiatives.
4. Perform independent oversight activities.
5. Validate and integrate analysis for nuclear applications.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):
•    BSc Honours Degree/Postgraduate Diploma in Physics/Mathematics/Applied Radiation Sciences and Technology/Engineering Sciences at NQF8 with 480 credits
 
Related Minimum Experience:
•    7 years’ experience in reactor physics or radiation protection physicist related experience at a nuclear power plant.
 
Professional Registration Body:
•    South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP)
