SHEQ Responsibility:
· Continuous Improvement: Ensure that your Administration Document is current and includes your SHEQ objectives. Ensure that all legal appointments are valid and in place for your area of control.
· Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Eskom Rotek Industries SHEQ requirements.
· Only authorised documents and processes are to be used in the execution of duties.
· Ensure strict adherence to policies, procedures and work instructions.
· SHE Compliance: As a section 8(2)i appointee, you are to ensure that the duties of the employer as contemplated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 are properly discharged and all legal appointments are valid and in place for your area of control.
· Reduce rework: Measure and report on rework vs revenue for your department on a monthly basis and ensure you reduce rework to less than 0.5% of your turnover.
· ISO and OHSAS certification: Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the documented processes and comply with the requirements of ISO and OHSAS certification.
· Audit Rating: Maintain an audit score of less than 2 and/or receive no major audit findings
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform NDT activities in the Works, at sites, and external clients.
• Select the NDT technique for the test method to be used.
• Set up and verify equipment settings.
• Translate NDT codes, standards, specifications, and procedures into NDT instructions adapted to the actual working conditions.
• Prepare NDT Work Instructions/Technique Sheets.
• Compile NDT Report and submit to Senior Supervisor and Level 3 for approval.
Minimum requirements
Qualification(s):
| · National Technical Diploma/ National Diploma in NDT/Metallurgy/Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering NQF 6 · NDT level 2 Methods/ Qualifications ( MT, PT, and UT or at least two of the three methods as a minimum) from an internationally recognised Certification Body · Professional Registration Body: ISO 9712 Certification

Experience:

· At least 3 Years practical experience as NDT Level 2 Technician. · Method specific Technique Development. · Technical Supervision.
