Job description

Skills:

·      Extensive customer liaison/commercial negotiation skills and fully competent in contracts management

·      Computer skills in MS Professional, Outlook and SAP.

·      Report writing and MS Presentation.

·      Proficient and good command of the English language

·      Logical and rational thinking.

Knowledge:

·      Experience and knowledge of the OHSA, Construction Regulations, and Environmental Regulations.

·      Experience and knowledge of quality management system ,International Organisation for standardisation (ISO) and SABS.

·      Experience in Contracts Management.

·      Basic Project Management principles. 

Attributes:

·       Sound communication, negotiation, organisational, financial skills.

·       Above average interpersonal/communication/organisational and managerial skills.

·       Confident and Self-motivated

Key Responsibilities

      Drafting, evaluating and negotiating of contracts including but not limited to:       

  • Formal, Short formal, annual contracts and the complete NEC 3 Suite of contracts.
  •           Non-Disclosure agreements, sub-contracts, consulting agreements
  •           Licencing agreements, review of customer /supplier proposed terms and conditions.
  •           Familiar with the provisions of NEC3 contracts, principles of changes/update
  •           Oversee term service Contract compliance.

·  Maintain a Contracts and sole source database that aligns to the Procurement Listing

·  Advocate change and participate in key policy discussion.

·  Handle on going issue and change management.

·  Set and maintain the highest ethical standards for Contract department.

·  Monitor competitive terms and adopt best business practices.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s): 
•     Relevant Legal B. Degree
•    Contracts Management (NEC3) qualification.
•    Management qualification (MDP,MAP,etc)will be and added advantage
Experience:
•     5 years’ experience in Contracts management with NEC 3 Family of Contracts.
•    Any experience in related Product Group environment will be advantageous.
•    Understanding of NEC value chain.
•    General knowledge of other contracting formats.
