Minimum Requirements

Qualification(s):

Grade 12/NCV4/NSC3/N3/with Maths, Science and Languages/Occupational Certificate Industrial Water Plant Operator/Further Education and Training Certificate Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Control Supervision/Engineering Studies with Chemistry and Chemical Plant Operation at NQF4 with 120 credits

 Key Responsibilities

1.       Operate water treatment plant systems automatically and manually by:

1.1   Operate Desalination plant and/or Flue Gas Desulphurization plant (FGD)

1.2   Operate Vacuum Concentration (VC) and FGD wastewater treatment plant

1.3   Operate main cooling water (CW) and auxiliary CW system

1.4   Operate CPP and Ammonia Plant

1.5   Operate Sewage plant

1.6   Operate Station drains
