Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate multi-functional disciplinary work groups to compile risk specific occupational hygiene and safety
assessments.
2. Implement, enhance and maintain occupational hygiene safety and health programs within the parameters of legal requirements, international organisation for standardisation (ISO) 45001 standards and best
practices.
3. Provide professional advice and guidance with respect to occupational hygiene and safety for employees,
contractors/suppliers, customers and members of the public.
4. Analyse and assess business unit needs regarding occupational hygiene and safety risks, implement and
monitor control measures.
5. Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene safety audits and reviews.
6. Ensure legislation and business risks created by incidents are managed.
7. Develop and advise on implementation and evaluation of occupational hygiene and safety management
processes for contractors, suppliers or projects.
8. Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene and safety standards, procedures, systems and
processes.

Qualification(s):
· National Diploma in Safety Management/Environmental Health/Sciences/Management at NQF 6 with 240 credits.
Related Minimum Experience:.
· 3 years’ experience in fire and emergency management, contractor management, occupational hygiene and safety
